Hoppy Cow Milk Stout

11-28 Brew Day

Got a late start with todays brew day. Pitched yeast at 8:30 pm, finished clean up around 9:00 pm, took a quick shower and now sitting back relaxing and enjoying a cold IPL (India Pale Lager). Anyway around a month ago my neighbor who is also a home brewer and I were talking and he mentioned he was going to brew a Milk Stout. Of course brewing a Milk Stout never even crossed my mind! Don't get me wrong I love a good Stout as much as anyone, but a Milk Stout? As usual I did my research and came up with an interesting recipe which should be ready for Christmas and definitely ready for New Years. Like in it's name this beer has all the malty goodness of a typical Stout with in the Wiegert Brewing style has the extra bite of 3 different hop additions and a heathy dose of Lactose for a real nice tongue pleasing sweetness. After drinking the gravity test, i'm convinced that after your first taste you'll be asking for Mooooooooooooooore!
