6-25 Brew Day
Brewed up a pilot 2 gallon batch of my first attempt of an Märzen amber lager. This style is normally brewed during the third month of the year giving it the name Märzen which of course is German for March. The 7 month process from grain to glass takes this amber lager into the month of October giving the beer it's more familiar name most know as Oktoberfest. Because of the late start it clearly won't be mature enough to drink until January 2018. But hey…better late than never!
