Yes I know Wisconsin weather is as unpredictable as a Ted Thompson draft pick, however after receiving the hop crowns 2 days ago I'm going to have to take a chance and plant them in their permanent home in the Wiegert Brewing hop yard. Each crown plot is fully fertilized with a conservative application in nitrogen and potassium all mixed together with a heathy dose of manure and 6 months of compost. Fingers crossed any chance of a hard frost is over. Will be keeping a close eye on them and a blanket on stand by just in case.
